Things we’re proud of
You don’t have to be a big company to make a big difference. As a people business, we’re strong believers in corporate social responsibility and the importance of diversity in the workplace.
So here are a few of the ways we do our bit for our employees and our community:
- As participants in the UN Global Compact, we follow ten universal principles that promote ethical, responsible business practices.
- We’ve recently joined the Employers’ Forum on Disability and are stepping up our commitment to recruit and retain disabled employees and serve disabled customers.
- We’re members of Race for Opportunity, a network of organisations who promote the business case for race and diversity. Last year’s benchmarking programme saw us ranked in the top five most improved organisations.
- We’re also members of Opportunity Now, a business-led campaign that works with employers to realise the full potential of women at all levels and in all sectors of the workforce.
- Each year, we ask our employees to select a charity they’d like to support, then get involved in a variety of fundraising activities – from dress down days to sponsored walks. Last year, we helped raise over £10,000 for Leukaemia Research.
